Allan was born in Costa Rica where he worked on the family farm at a young age, which taught him how to work hard. He has always had a strong entrepreneurial mind and a lot of ambition. In 1994 he came to the United States where he started his construction career.

At age 22 he started his first construction company in Kansas City, specializing in structure and metal framing, which was part of some major construction projects in Kansas City. When the economy crashed in 2008 he chose to cut his losses and closed the company. He went to work for the railroad as a Project Manager, where he oversaw a crew that installed underground diesel lines and service stations. He loved working in the Industrial Construction Market, but it was time to again live his passion, which was business ownership.

Allan is very much a forward thinker and goes after what he wants for his future and the future of his family, so in 2012, Compass Constructors was born. The company has had a lot of accomplishments and growth, but the real accomplishment is what he is able to teach his team and community. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Helzberg Entrepreneurial Mentoring Program (HEMP) and a recent graduate of the Stanford University Latino Business Action Network.

Being and immigrant he knows the day to day struggles of what it takes, not only live in another country, but to be successful in another country. With his passion and drive to become successful, he will not allow any obstacle will get in his way.
